On 5 November 2016, more than three thousand rural poor marched under the banner of All Assam Grameen Shramik Sanstha, affiliated to AICCTU against the Modi’s government attack on constitutional rights and in particular on the National Food Security Act. The huge number of protestors who gathered virtually paralyzed the main thoroughfare of Tinsukia town in Assam as they marched raising slogans against the Modi government.
