Left Parties Rally in Bhopal

On 7 March, a joint rally by the left parties was organised in Bhopal. While addressing the rally, the left leaders strongly criticised the anti-people policies of the Modi government. They pointed out that in the last two years the rising prices had created a havoc in the lives of people. The employment of workers has been snatched. They said that looting common people to fill the coffers the corporates had become the aim of the Modi government. The speakers included PB member and ex MP of CPI (M), Com. Subhashini Ali, CPI state secretary Com. Arvind Srivastava, SUCI (C) Central Committee member Com. Satyabhan and PB member of CPI (ML), Com. Prabhat Chowdhary. They said that the people of Madhya Pradesh have been caught in the vicious circle formed by the BJP and the Congress. However eager to come out of the trap, the people are now walking the path of struggles and it is only the left forces that have an alternative to the policies of the BJP and the Congress regimes.

Talking about the anti- Dalit, anti-women and anti-reservation policies of the Shivraj Singh led state government, the speakers said that the government was also anti-people and autocratic. It was also  notorious for corruption in the entire world. So that the people do not speak against it, the rights of protest were also being snatched away from the people. In the name of section 144, Dharnas, protests and meetings were being prohibited.

Mentioning the communal policies of the Sangh parivaar, the speakers said that the nationalism of the sangh parivar had been exposed as their people were found to be spying for the ISI. In the struggle for independence they used to spy for the British. Today these nationalists were found to involved in theft of the sands of Narmada river to rapes and other crimes. Condemning the offer of award of Rs. 1 crore for the head of Kerala CM, Pinarai Vijayan, the speakers pointed out that this exposes the violence of the RSS. However, we refused to be silenced by this. They urged people to unite.
