Murder of a Girl Student in Vaishali

CPI(ML) central committee member and National General Secretary of AIPWA, Com. Meena Tiwari strongly condemned the brutal murder of a class ten student of Rajkiya Ambedkar Kanya Avaasiya Uchh Vidyalaya in Daulatpur in Vaishali district. She said that since there are suspicions that the girl may have been gangraped before being murdered, the administration was trying to engage in cover ups. We demand a high level investigation of the murder and an immediate arrest of the accused. She added that there were no signs of any decline in the incident of injustice and assaults on women and girl students in Bihar. The criminals were being more and more fearless and increasingly targeting school girls.

A joint CPI(ML), AIPWA and AISA team had visited the site of the murder to find out more details. The team reported that the students are holding the Kalyan officials responsible for this incident. The girl who was murdered was known to continually raise voice against the infrastructure related problems in the hostel. The team talked to the girl’s mother, who expressed suspicion that her daughter may have been gangraped. The team demanded a high level investigation and arrest of the accused. They also raised the demand of restoration of all the services in the hostel. A protest and an effigy burning was held in Hajipur against this incident.
