CPI (ML) Liberation is deeply saddened to learn of the recent powerful twin earthquakes in Venezuela, which have caused widespread devastation and suffering.
At this difficult moment, we extend our heartfelt solidarity to the people of Venezuela. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this disaster. We wish for the safety, well-being, and swift recovery of everyone impacted across the affected region.
Today, the devastation and suffering caused by the earthquakes are being cruelly compounded by the decades-long illegal unilateral sanctions and coercive economic measures imposed on Venezuela by the United States and its Western allies. At a time when the Venezuelan people need unrestricted access to humanitarian assistance, reconstruction resources, and international cooperation, these punitive measures continue to obstruct the country's recovery and deepen the hardships faced by millions. We call for the immediate and complete lifting of all illegal sanctions and measures against Venezuela.
We stand firmly with the people of Venezuela. We are confident that the resilience, solidarity, and collective strength of the Venezuelan people will help them overcome this challenge, as they have overcome many others in the past.
