Chhhattisgarh Workers Demand Bonus and PF

On 18 January Chhattisgarh Hamaal Mazdoor Sangh (AICCTU) organized a rally in Kawardha in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. The rally was organized to demand that the bonus due to the workers be immediately paid and that the PF of the workers be deposited in their names. More than 500 workers from State Civil Supplies Corporation, Kabirdham participated in the rally. The rally was addressed by AICCTU National Vice President Com. Bheemrao Bagde, Chhattisgarh state secretary Com. Brijendra Tiwari, comrades Narottam Sharma, Bahorik Nishad, Punaram Sahu, Tulsi Devdas and others. The speakers said that labour provisions have not been implemented in the state. Labour officers have turned into agents of contractors. The state government is refusing to pay heed to the demands of the workers. The speakers strongly condemned the anti-workers and anti-people policies of the state and the central governments. They also appealed the workers to strengthen the resistance against the politics of hate and frenzy. A memorandum of demands addressed to the CM was handed over to the district collector.
