The CPI (ML), Janvadi Mazdoor Morcha and AICCTU organized a joint protest against the brutal killing of protesters in Tuticorin by the police with assault rifles at the behest of the Tamil Nadu State government.

The Bokaro protesters held the Modi government and the Tamil Nadu government responsible for the killings in Tuticorin and strongly condemned the incident, pointing out that the BJP government is entirely anti-people and pro-corporate. The protest was led by Com Devdeep Singh Diwakar and other leaders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s effigy was burnt at a protest in Allahabad against the Tuticorin police massacre of innocent and peaceful protesters on 25 May (Naxalbari Day) at the IFFCO-Phulpur Contract Workers Association office (affiliated to AICCTU). The protest was led by Dr Kamal, Dev Anand, Saligram, Jaiprakash and others. Under the ‘Halla Bol Pol Khol’ campaign, the Contract Workers Association took out a rally from IFFCO Gate No. 1 to IFFCO Police Chowki where it culminated in a meeting. AICCTU District Secretary Com Kamal Usri, Contract Workers Association President Dev Anand, Secretary Com Vijay Bahadur Singh, Deputy Secretary Com Manoj Kumar and others addressed the meeting.
