All over the country, BJP is leading attacks on offices of CPI(M) and Left parties. This is nothing but a desperate ploy to divert attention from the economic crisis, unemployment, rampant hunger, attacks on women as well as corruption and nepotism scandals in which BJP Governments at the Centre and states are embroiled.
CPI(ML) condemns such attacks in the strongest terms. Why is the police allowing such ‘demonstrations’ that threaten violence to the offices of the Left? The BJP and Sangh are no ‘victims’ in Kerala – rather they are instigators of horrendous violence. The cycle of political violence in Kerala must indeed end – but it is utterly dishonest of the RSS and BJP to try to demonise the Left on this issue when they themselves are the perpetrators of the worst violence both in Kerala and all over India.
The CPI(ML) burnt an effigy of the BJP in Haldwani and joined a united Left-democratic protest demonstration in Dehradun to protest the BJP attack on the CPI(M) office in Dehradun. The CPI(ML) condemns such threatening BJP mobilisations against CPI(M) offices in Delhi and Chandigarh.
