A Nukkad meeting was organized at Khairachatar under the banner of the Jharkhand Gramin Mazdoor Sabha to focus on the need to strengthen people’s power and defeat the criminal-politician-police.
Recently a girl was raped in Harnad village in Kasmar block. When the matter gained prominence, the rapist was arrested but the local MLA helped the release of rapist after giving false assurance. Though an FIR was registered, the Mukhiya, Pramukh, caste leaders and elected representatives tried to suppress the whole matter leaving the girl’s father afraid and terrified. In this situation the Jharkhand Gramin Mazdoor Sabha came forward and its General Secretary Parmeshwar Mahto held a mass meeting in Singpur village demanding justice for the victim which was also addressed by Devdeep Singh Diwakar and Budhan Karmali.
