On 6 August several political and people’s organizations including Chhattisgarh Bachao Andolan, CPI (M), CPI, CPI (ML), CPI (ML)-Red Star, Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha, Kisan Mazdoor Mahasangh, Aam Aadmi Party, Rashtriya Aadivasi Ekta Parishad, PUCL and others staged a demonstration at Ambedkar Chowk in Raipur to express concern regarding the deteriorating condition of Medha Patekar and convey solidarity with the ongoing struggle. They demanded that the government at once holds talk, ensure just and appropriate rehabilitation of the people and also that the gates of the Sarovar dam are not opened.
