AISA Condemns Attack on Abhijit Dipke, Calls It Assault on Youth Voices

The All India Students’ Association (AISA) has strongly condemned the cowardly attack on CJP founder Abhijit Dipke during a protest in Jaipur. The organisation stated that the attack represents an assault on the voices of students and youth who are raising legitimate demands for justice and accountability, including the call for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In a statement issued on June 15, AISA said that the incident took place while hundreds of students had gathered to demand accountability over issues affecting the education system. During the protest, Abhijit Dipke was attacked by an individual who was present within the crowd. The organisation described the act as a deliberate attempt to intimidate and silence dissenting voices.

AISA further stated that the incident reflects the growing atmosphere of intolerance where students and young people are increasingly branded as “anti-national” for expressing dissent, while the attacker publicly positions himself as a “nationalist.” The organisation linked this pattern to earlier instances where students, including Class 12 student Vedant, were similarly targeted and vilified for their views.

The student organisation said the attack exposes the “venomous agenda and insecurity” of the Sangh-BJP ecosystem, which seeks to delegitimise democratic protest through intimidation and violence. It added that such acts will not succeed in silencing student movements, which continue to grow across the country on issues of education, employment, and democratic rights.

AISA reiterated that this was a shameful and cowardly attempt to suppress the voices of students and youth, and affirmed that such attacks will be resisted firmly.
