(Letter to the Secretary, West Bengal State Committee)
Dear Comrade,
Today Peking Radio accused India for interfering into Pakistan’s internal matters. This issue will lead to a spate of anti-China campaign. They will start an anti-China campaign basing on common people’s sentiment regarding Bangladesh. By colluding with Soviet, America and Great Britain, India has become a supported of this so-called “liberation movement.” This aspect should be exposed to the hilt. The greatest weakness of the struggle going on in Calcutta is not putting politics in command. All of our comrades should mobilise in this campaign by putting politics in command. I am not talking of open propaganda. This work should be done by intensifying our work among the working class. We have to work among the working class day after day with utmost sincerity. It is imperative to initiate this painstaking task. You can definitely realize that imperialist forces have become desperate. The United States received severe blow while extending its aggression into the territory of Laos. They are hell bent for a new world war. So, they have brought East Bengal within their fold. They direly need East Bengal for their war against China. Which is why they have started playing gamble with East Bengal. At this situation, it is our primary responsibility to penetrate among the working class. Failing which, the we will be uprooted by the storm.
Please discuss with Calcutta District Committee and take steps accordingly. Self complacency on the question of action should be fought and painstaking work among the working class is highly necessary. It will not be harmful if action doesn’t take place.
