Successful protest by AICCTU – AIPWF (All India Port Workers Federation) organized a protest on 17 January 2018. The protest was held defying police and Port authorities, who refused permission for the protest. Protesters shouted slogans in front of gates of New Mangalore Port Trust and held a public meeting towards preparations for Strike on 29 January by Shipping workers. It was a spirited protest that challenged powers that be and displayed determination of workers against the forces of compromise and class collaboration and against the state.
