Comrade Vikas Mahto
Comrade Vikas Mahto who was recently elected as Secretary of CPI(ML) Jaipur City Committee in the party conference held on Oct 22 passed away on November 15. He was only 58. He had been ill for a few days, but the news of his passing came as a sudden blow to all of us. He had been associated with the party for several decades since his early youth.
He was a man of few words who used to insist that besides the day-to-day work of the communist party, youth should also concentrate on strengthening the fundamentals of Marxism.

Com. Dhiren Sarkar
Com. Dhiren Sarkar (67) passed away on 9 November 2017 at Malda District Hospital due to Heart attack. He was suffering from diabetes for many years. He was a primary school teacher and since early 80s when he left CPI(M) to join the CPI(ML) he actively pursued his party responsibilities in Malda district till his last. He also served as party’s district secretary in Malda. Com. Dhiren Sarkar was revered among fellow comrades for his humility as well as his ideological sharpness. He and his family was always a dependable place for all comrades who used to take shelter there even during underground days. He is survived by his wife, son and a daughter.
On behalf of the West Bengal State Committee of the party comrade Kartick Pal sent a condolence massage to his family. Party comrades of Malda district attended his cremation.
