The state units of AICCTU, AITUC, INTUC, CITU in Puducherry took out a massive joint rally on 25th January. This was in continuation of nationwide protests on the workers’ 12-point charter of demands which was adopted by central trade unions in November 2017. Hundreds of workers participated in support of nationwide demands of the Indian working class. The rally culminated into a road-blockade protest. Balasubramanian of AICCTU, Abishekam of AITUC, Srinivasan of CITU and Ganasekaran of INTUC led the road-roko and were court arrested along with workers.
