Karbi Anglong Hill Party Committee held its 8th Conference on 11-12 Nov. in Diphu. The conference rededicated itself to fight against communal and fascist forces, for an Autonomous State and an egalitarian society. The conferance adopted resolutions rejecting forces conspiring to transform HSDC in a ‘monolithic’ body. It was also resolved to develop a broader platform of the struggling forces for strengthening the movement.
The Conference unanimously elected a 13-member committee with comrade Rabi Phangcho as Secretary.
The conference concluded on 12 November with an open session followed by an attractive procession in Diphu town led by comrades Rabi phangcho, Jayanta Rongpee, Bibek Das. CPI(ML) Politburo members Swadesh Bhattacharya and Rubul Sarma were present in the conference.
