CPI(ML) candidate and RYA State Vice-President Sandeep Kumar Choudhary filed his nomination on October 6 from the Darbhanga Graduate Constituency for the Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) election.
A large number of party and RYA activists participated in the nomination programme. Speaking on the occasion, CPI(ML) Politburo member and Mithilanchal in-charge Dhirendra Jha said the election was linked to the questions of education, employment, the future of youth and democratic rights. He highlighted unemployment among educated youth, vacancies in universities and colleges, rising fees, lack of scholarships and research opportunities, and repeated irregularities in competitive examinations.
Sandeep Kumar Choudhary said the election was an opportunity to raise voices on education, employment, social justice and democracy. He said his candidature would strengthen the movements of students and youth on these issues. CPI(ML) announced a broad public outreach campaign among graduate voters in the constituency.
