Left Student Organisations To March Unitedly On October 10 Against Gyanesh Kumar And SIR

Left student organisations including AISA, SFI, AISF and other organisations will jointly take to the streets, joining the call for protest on October 10, demanding the removal of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, an end to the unconstitutional Special Intensive Revision (SIR), and action against police brutality.

The united student organisations are joining the mobilisation of students, youth, workers, civil society groups and democratic organisations, raising a collective voice to protect voting rights and democratic freedoms. They have condemned the police attacks on students, youth, journalists and other protesters who have been taking to the streets against the Election Commission’s actions and the SIR.

The organisations have appealed to students and youth to join the October 10 protest in large numbers and strengthen a united movement against the assault on democratic rights, consolidating the spirit of unity among student and youth organisations.
