Protest in Vijayawada against US-Israel War on Iran

A massive protest was organized on the 30 March 2026 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh by the CPI(ML) Liberation, to oppose the politics of war that is disrupting global peace. Addressing the gathering, CPI(ML) Liberation State Secretary Comrade B. Bangar Rao stated that the actions of the US–Israel nexus war in the West Asia and killings of innocent civilians is a grave violation of humanity. He criticized this war is meant solely to serve imperialist interests and is severely undermining the peace and security of people across the globe.

Speaking on the occasion, other leaders remarked that U.S. foreign policy is invariably driven by the malicious objective of keeping smaller nations under its absolute control. They pointed out that the underlying motive behind such actions—including the attempted illegal abduction of Venezuelan President Maduro, the joint effort with Israel to assassinate Iranian leaders to forcibly seize control of that nation, and various other attacks on foreign countries- is to plunder their natural resources and mineral wealth. They further said that the USA establishes military bases right on the borders of nations that refuse to toe its line, thereby acting as a constant thorn in their side and subjecting them to intimidation; as part of this strategy, they noted, the Israel is now acting like a bully among the Gulf nations. These aggressive attacks have emerged as a grave threat to global peace.

Particularly at a time when attacks by the US and Israel are facing severe criticism, the Modi government's decision to maintain silence, without issuing even a clear condemnation, is widely perceived as providing indirect support to those very forces. This constitutes not merely a diplomatic failure, but also a violation of democratic values. Under the guise of a strategic partnership with the United States, India faces the risk of forfeiting its independent decision-making autonomy. Speakers emphasized that the current policy which prioritizes corporate and imperialist interests over national interests, is patently evident.

The protest was attended by CPI(ML) Central Committee member Comrade Nagamani, along with State Committee leaders D. Harinath, M.P. Ramdev, Uday Kiran and others.
