Comrade Kunti Devi will be CPI(ML)’s candidate for Jahanabad bye-election. She was the candidate from this seat also in 2005. She hails from a very poor family background and is a well-known leader of the masses in this region and had led many movements concerning the rights of dalits, poor and women. CPI(ML) has appealed to all left parties for supporting the candidature of comrade Kunti Devi.
